A limited edition Speyside single malt from Macallan, released in 2025 in a 70cl bottle. It pays tribute to the Scottish architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and takes its inspiration from his 1902 stained-glass panel 'The Spirit of the Rose'.
The whisky was matured in sherry seasoned European oak casks, a nod to Mackintosh's time in Europe.
The nose is rich with dried fruit, raisins and fig, polished oak, cherry, orange, almonds and treacle. The palate brings sweet oak, vanilla, ginger, apple and a wisp of tea leaf. The finish is long, sweet, rich and full.
