This is a limited edition Macallan single malt, bottled in 2017 in a 75cl bottle. It is the first in a series of annual Classic Cut releases.
The whisky matured in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain and was bottled at cask strength, 58.4% ABV, with no added colour.
On the nose it offers creamy vanilla custard, sweet ginger and fresh, sweet oak. The palate brings caramel, orange peel and nutmeg spice, and the finish is warming oak with a full, lingering sweetness.
