Macallan Edition No. 3 is the third release in The Macallan's Edition series, a Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle at 48.3% ABV. Each edition combines a different selection of oak cask styles.
For this one, the master perfumer Roja Dove brought his sense of smell to the project, choosing the best whiskies from a range of European and American oak casks. The release pairs whisky with the world of aroma.
The nose is floral, with fresh oak, vanilla ice cream and orange oil, plus spicy touches and chocolate. The palate is sweet, fruity and balanced, with fruit cake, vanilla, ginger and cinnamon. The finish is long, with fruit and sweet notes.
