Macallan Edition No. 4 is the fourth and final release in the Edition series, a Speyside single malt bottled at 48.4% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Master Distiller Nick Savage combined the Macallan sherry character with a modern flavour profile. The whisky draws on refill butts and hogsheads of American and European oak, alongside sherry hogsheads, butts and puncheons.
On the nose there is sweet toffee, honey, spicy oak and nutmeg. The palate is intense, with strong sherry notes, dark chocolate, dried apricot and spice, and the finish is long, with vanilla, chocolate, oak spice and dried fruit.
