Macallan Harmony Collection 4 Vibrant Oak is a single malt bottled at 44.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is the fourth release in the Harmony Collection.
It was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and marks Macallan's 200th anniversary, with oak as its theme. The distillery's sherry-seasoned oak casks are described as contributing most to the character of its whisky.
The nose brings vanilla pod, sweet sorbet and lime zest, with fragrant pears and delicate vanilla sponge. On the palate are creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortbread, lightly toasted coconut with almond brittle, apple and sweet oak. The finish is medium in length, sweet, with lingering vanilla.
