Macallan – Harmony Collection Rich Cacao (70cl, 44%)

Rich Cacao is the first release in The Macallan Harmony Collection, a new annual series. It is a single malt bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle, made as a collaboration between Macallan whisky maker Polly Logan and pastry chef Jordi Roca of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca. Polly Logan looked for a particular chocolate note in Macallan's traditional sherry-seasoned European oak casks. She paired it with vanilla from sherry-seasoned American oak casks, to sweeten the slightly bitter chocolate character. The box is fully recyclable and made from the husks of discarded cocoa pods.
