Macallan Litha is a Speyside single malt matured exclusively in first fill sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. It is a China travel retail exclusive, released from August 2023, in a 70cl bottle.
It is presented as the coming together of two worlds, Scotland and Spain, with its flavour coming from the whisky mingling with the sherry-seasoned oak.
Butterscotch, vanilla and chocolate lead the nose, with citrus and tropical fruit alongside. The palate brings vanilla ice cream with berry compote, toasted oak, salted caramel and pecans. The finish is of medium length, with fruit, vanilla and oak.
