Macallan – Sienna 1824 Series (70cl, 43%)

Macallan Sienna is part of The 1824 Series, a range of single malts of natural colour matured in former sherry casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Sienna is matured only in first-fill sherry casks made from Spanish and American oak. Within the series, the darker the whisky, the rarer the casks used, and the cask wood has a strong say in the flavour. The nose offers delicate vanilla, citrus fruit, oriental spices and oak. On the palate come dried fruits such as dates, figs and raisins, with a floral background. The finish is soft and fine, with a little spice.
