Macallan Terra is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43.8% ABV. It is matured in first-fill sherry casks, which come from the Tevasa and Vasyma cooperages in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
The sherry influence is clear from the first pour.
The nose offers dried fruit, raisins and lemon peel, with a little apple and oak. On the palate there are dried fruit, raisins and ripe apples, with oak adding depth. It is creamy and soft, yet fresh despite the weight of flavour. The finish is medium in length, with dried fruit and woody notes.
