Siol Dugall is a medium-peated Canadian single malt from Macaloney's, bottled in 2023 at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. It is an edition of the Whiskymaker's Signature Selection. The barley comes from British Columbia and is smoked with peat at the distillery in Victoria, to around 27ppm. The whisky is distilled twice, then matured in Victoria. It is a vatting of whiskies from Kentucky bourbon casks, new American oak and re-charred Portuguese red wine barriques. The nose combines pine wood smoke, light peat and tropical fruit with rosemary, cedar, rose petals, dates and lemon peel. The palate is velvety, with sweet, malty peat smoke, barley water, clover honey, crème brûlée and burnt caramel. The finish holds light sweet smoke, a trace of salt and a sea breeze.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
