Mackmyra Stjärnrök is a Swedish single malt bottled at 46.1% ABV, created with the darker months of the year in mind. It is made with a large share of the distillery's own smoked malt recipe.
The whisky matured in oloroso, ex-bourbon and American oak casks of different sizes. Older ex-bourbon casks add citrus and vanilla, and Swedish oak casks previously soaked in Swedish cloudberry wine bring spice.
It is described as smoky, fruity and spicy, with peat, juniper, vanilla caramel, raisins, orange peel, dark chocolate and a lightly oily texture.
