Mackmyra – Vit Hund

Vit Hund, which means white dog in Swedish, is the unmatured spirit that becomes Mackmyra whisky after cask maturation. It is distilled from Mackmyra's unsmoked malted barley. It shows the grain character of the malt and the fruitiness of the distillate, and can be served as a digestive after dinner, as a schnapps with a starter, or in cocktails. The nose is pure and slightly oily, with plums, green apples, blackcurrant, toasted bread, vanilla and coconut. The palate is fruity, spicy and soft, with malt, anise, mint and plum, and a spicy, fruity, lightly salty aftertaste.
