MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old Peated Blended Malt

MacNair's Lum Reek 12 Year Old is a peated blended malt from Scotland, made by marrying malt whiskies from different Scottish distilleries. The peating level is around 20 ppm phenols. Smoke leads the character, supported by a full body and a dark colour. Billy Walker, Master Distiller, is part of the ownership and management of MacNair's. The nose is sweetly peaty, with butterscotch, warming mocha and a touch of nutmeg. On the palate there is plenty of caramel and heather honey, with sweet spices over a base of peat. The finish is long and warm.
