MacPhail's 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Gordon & MacPhail, the independent bottler based in Elgin since 1895. In the MacPhail's range the distillery of origin is deliberately not named. The whisky matured in casks made to Gordon & MacPhail's own specifications.
It is bottled at 40%, without added colour and not chill-filtered.
The notes begin with tart citrus and a subtle spice, with strong sherry tones adding depth and warmth. The citrus develops into stewed fruit with roasted nuts, and the long finish keeps a delicate fruitiness and a touch of oak.
