MacPhail's 30 is a single malt from Gordon & MacPhail, distilled and matured in Speyside. This is the 1994 vintage, bottled in 2024 at 30 years old and 46%, after maturing in sherry wood.
The nose brings sherry, orange, apples and raisins with vanilla, and the alcohol is well integrated. On the palate, sweetness leads into blackberry, raspberry, apple, roasted nuts and dark chocolate. The long finish carries sweetness, raisins, caramel and dark chocolate with mint, coffee and cocoa.
