This is a 40 year old Speyside single malt from Gordon & MacPhail, bottled at 46% ABV as part of the MacPhail's collection. It was matured in a number of sherry casks.
The nose brings stewed dark fruits, warm cinnamon, milk chocolate and demerara sugar, with cigar box, beeswax polish and aged leather. On the palate come orange, black pepper and sweet dried tobacco with hints of apple and spice, and the finish is lingering, full and well balanced with spice and oak.
