MahJong Project BenRiach 2011 6 Years Old (70cl)

This is a 6 year old Speyside single malt from BenRiach, in a 70cl bottle. It is a single cask bottling from the MahJong Project, a joint series put together by Whisky Lover with partners in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. At six years the oak has not hidden the distillery character, and the whisky stays vibrant and led by the spirit. The nose is typically described as green apples, pear drops and barley sugar, with a hint of grassy malt. The palate is zesty, with lemon peel, white pepper, honey and crisp orchard fruits. The finish is crisp and dry, with a refreshing malty sweetness.
