Maker's 46 is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 47% ABV. It was introduced in 2010 and was the first new variant the distillery had produced since it opened.
It begins as regular Maker's Mark and then receives an additional step: selected casks are fitted with a piece of charred French oak for further maturation. The name comes from the oak used, which was known as Stave Profile 46.
