Maker's Mark – 46 French Oak (70cl)

A Kentucky-style bourbon in a 70cl bottle, Maker's Mark 46 was created by Bill Samuels Jr., son of the distillery's founders, as a more complex and bolder take on the original Maker's Mark. It arrived in 2010 and was the first major new expression since the original in 1958. The bourbon matures for three years in American oak, then moves into barrels fitted with ten new, toasted French oak staves. It finishes for a further nine weeks in the distillery's limestone warehouses. The name 46 refers to the profile of those staves.
