Maker's Mark 46 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is the recipe of Bill Samuels Jr., son of the founders Bill and Margie, and the first major new expression since the original Maker's Mark was released in 1958.
The bourbon is aged for longer with seared French oak staves, which give it layered character.
The nose has toasty French oak, caramel and baking spices. The palate is mildly sweet, with deep notes of vanilla and baking spice, and the finish is velvety, subtle and long.
