Maker's Mark – Cask Strength (70cl, 54.8%)

Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a bourbon from Kentucky, bottled at barrel proof. At 54.75% ABV in a 70cl bottle, it runs from 108 to 114 proof depending on the barrels. Extra vanilla and rich oak come through, with the front-of-palate character of Maker's Mark still in place. The nose is big oak with vanilla and caramel. The palate is robust and warm, with caramel, vanilla and spice, followed by a long finish at the front of the tongue that has no harsh bitterness.
