Maker's Mark – Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 54%)

Maker's Mark Cask Strength is a straight bourbon bottled at 54% abv in a 70cl bottle. The strength runs from 108 to 114 proof depending on the barrels. The mash uses soft red winter wheat in place of the usual rye, and each barrel is rotated by hand and aged to taste rather than to a set time. The bourbon keeps the front-of-palate character of Maker's Mark, with more vanilla and rich oak. The nose is of big oak, vanilla and caramel. The palate is warm and robust, with caramel, vanilla and spice, and the long finish is free of harsh bitterness.
