Maker's Mark – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (45%)

Maker's Mark is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45%. The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley, with red winter wheat giving a round, soft texture. The bourbon is matured in new American oak for up to six and a half years, then selected in small batches of 19 barrels at a time. Each bottle is sealed with red wax dipped by hand. The nose is of vanilla, toasted bread, butter and oak. The palate is full and soft, with gentle sweetness, caramel, vanilla and oak, and the finish is long and mellow.
