Mal Bien White Tape Espadín Morales is an artisanal mezcal made from Espadín agave in Oaxaca. The label names Lucho Morales López as producer and San Dionisio Ocotepec as the village.
The nose is fresh roasted agave with green herbs, citrus peel, damp earth and a light thread of smoke. The palate is crisp and agave-forward, with mineral salinity, black pepper, soft vegetal tones, savoury depth and gentle smoke.
The finish is clean, dry and lingering, with earthy agave, herbal spice and subtle smoke. It comes in a 75cl bottle with a cork closure.
