This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from Mannochmore, sold as Loch Dhu, the 'Black Whisky'. It was matured in charred oak casks and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The name means 'Black Lake', and the whisky is known for its jet-black colour. Mannochmore's spirit was first used for Loch Dhu in 1996. The brand was withdrawn soon after its launch, and drinkers have long been divided over it, with committed fans and equally firm detractors.
