Mannochmore 2009 13 YO Amontillado Cask – Auld Goonsy's Malt (57.1%)

This is a 13 year old single malt from Mannochmore, released under the Auld Goonsy's Malt label of Global Whisky Limited. It was distilled on 29 September 2009 and bottled on 6 February 2023 at a cask strength of 57.1%, from a single cask, in an outturn of 295 bottles. The whisky matured in an American oak hogshead and was then finished in a first fill Amontillado sherry hogshead. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is sweet fruitcake with apricot, butterscotch and complex spice. The palate is full and fruity-sweet, with stewed apple, raisins and caramel. The finish is long, with vanilla, peach and apple pie with nutmeg.
