Mars Asagi Madara 8 Year Old 2020 (70cl, 48%)

This is an 8 year old Japanese blended malt from Mars Shinshu, released in 2020 as a limited edition. It marks the rebuilding and expansion of the distillery, completed in September 2020, 35 years after it was established. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The label shows the asagi madara butterfly, which is usually seen around September in Miyada Village, where the distillery stands, and which gave the whisky its name. The character is described as refreshing, reminiscent of the Shinshu forest and wildflowers.
