This is a Mars Fukuoka Phoenix and Sun Limited Edition, a single cask whisky from the Mars Shinshu distillery. It was distilled in 2014 and matured in a single bourbon hogshead until it was bottled in 2021. The release is limited to 212 bottles and belongs to a series of single cask bottlings. Tasting notes run to tangy citrus, candied peel, gentle brown sugar, vanilla and subtle oak.
