Mars Shinshu Komagatake 2019 is a limited edition Japanese single malt from the Mars Shinshu distillery, bottled at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is vatted from Bourbon barrels and several other kinds of cask from the distillery.
The nose is sweet, with honey, malt sugar, maple syrup and vanilla, and peach behind them. On the palate there are light notes of charred wood, toffee, honey, orange jam and peach, with a little peanut towards the back. The finish is nutty, with a spicy pepper character.
