This is a single cask, cask-strength single malt from Mars Shinshu, the Japanese distillery whose home is in the cold, humid Alps. It belongs to the Komagatake series of special bottlings and was bottled for The Nectar.
Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2021 after three years in a first-fill bourbon cask, it comes at 60% ABV. Whisky matures slowly at Mars Shinshu, in temperatures that fall as low as -15°C. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
