Mars Komagatake White Dragon Small Batch Limited Edition (70cl, 50%)

White Dragon is a limited small batch single malt from the Mars Shinshu Distillery, the highest-sited whisky distillery in Japan, set in the Japanese Alps. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. Most of the whisky matured in bourbon casks. It is joined by lightly peated whisky (3.5 ppm) that was aged in sherry casks. The nose is typically described as bright fruit, dried plums and a hint of acacia honey. On the palate come hazelnuts, subtle tannins and gentle spice, with the light peat staying in the background.
