Mars Maltage 'Cosmo' is a blended Japanese malt whisky, bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after a mountain in the Japan Central Alps close to the Mars Whisky Distillery.
The whisky is aged in bourbon, sherry and new American white oak casks, then transferred to an ex-Manzanilla sherry cask for finishing. It has a dark toasted gold colour.
The nose opens with soft vanilla and sweet red fruit, such as cherry and sugary raspberry. The palate has orange oil, chocolate, fresh barley and toasty oak. The finish brings fresh plum, white grape, cereals and chocolate biscuits.
