Mars Maltage Cosmo Manzanilla Sherry Cask (70cl, 42%)

This is a limited edition from the small Shinshu distillery in Japan. It starts from the standard Mars Maltage Cosmo, a blend of Shinshu whisky and Scotch malts, and is then finished in ex-Manzanilla sherry casks. It was bottled in 2021 at 42% and comes in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers dried fruit and vanilla, balanced by nutty notes. On the palate there is white fruit with maple syrup, coconut and bitter chocolate. The finish is long, with a light bitterness.
