Mars Tsunuki 2026 Edition is a single malt from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima, Japan, released to mark the distillery's tenth anniversary since its founding in 2016. Hombo Shuzo bottled it at 49% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks, mainly bourbon and sherry, and is non-chill filtered.
The nose offers dried dates and orange peel. On the palate, pineapple and peach meet the light acidity of kumquat. The finish is long, joining vanilla sweetness with sherry spice and closing dry.
