Mars Tsunuki 2026 Edition is a Japanese single malt from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima, bottled in 2026 at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The edition marks the first years since the distillery was founded in 2016.
The whisky is matured mainly in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, with a range of other cask types added. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings smoky maple syrup and campfire with dried apricot, light peat and honey. The palate is creamy, with vanilla, caramel, smoke and stewed fruit. The long finish carries brown butter, oak spice and leather.
