Mars Tsunuki – 2026 Edition (70cl, 49%)

Mars Tsunuki 2026 Edition is a single malt from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery, run by Hombo Shuzo in the Kuratayama mountains of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is the seventh official yearly release in the standard range, outside single casks and special editions. The whisky is vatted mainly from bourbon barrel and sherry cask maturation, with more weight on the bourbon casks this year. The label shows the distillery's old still tower. It is bottled at 49% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is orange, ripe apple and apricot with honey, vanilla, cinnamon bark and ginger. The palate is smooth and rounded, led by caramel and honey, then citrus.
