Mars Tsunuki – Japanese Single Malt Whisky 2026 Limited Edition (70cl, 49%)

Mars Tsunuki is a Japanese single malt from the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima, in southern Kyushu. This 2026 edition is the seventh annual release under the distillery's name. It is made from 100% malted barley with an average of 5 ppm peat, and the whisky is aged for 4 to 9 years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered, has no added colouring and is bottled at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers a soft whisper of peat, then orange marmalade and tea cake. On the palate come poached pears and chocolate-covered almonds, leading to a slightly bittersweet finish.
