Mars Tsunuki x Akkeshi Malt Duo 2024 is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle. It is the second Malt Duo release from Mars Whisky, following a collaboration with Chichibu in 2021.
Between 2018 and 2019 the Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima and the Akkeshi distillery on Hokkaido swapped new make malt, to see how each place would shape the other's whisky. After more than five years in barrel, the Akkeshi single malt aged in Kagoshima was blended with Tsunuki's own single malt.
It is lightly peated, with juicy ripe fruit and rich custard.
