Mars Yakushima Japanese Spring 2024 (70cl, 49%)

Mars Yakushima Japanese Spring 2024 is a limited blended malt whisky from The Mars Shinshu Distillery in Tsunuki, bottled by the distillery at 49% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Yakushima label. The nose is exotic, with grilled pineapple, ripe banana, sweet mango, citrus and white flowers. The palate offers juicy fruit, sweet vanilla and malt, and rich caramelised fruit, followed by light saltiness and subtle peat. The finish is velvety and woody, and is said to recall the misty forests of Yakushima.
