Martell Cordon Bleu is a Cognac cuvée created in 1912 by Édouard Martell. More than 100 eaux-de-vie are blended for the original bottling, with a high proportion of mature distillates from the Borderies cru, and eaux-de-vie from other Cognac crus adding further depth. It is aged in oak barrels and bottled at 40% vol in a 700 ml bottle.
The nose combines candied plums and ripe apples with floral hints, mocha and roasted almonds. The palate is full-bodied and balanced, with ripe fruit, fine spices and well-integrated wood tones, and the finish is long with fruit and spice.
