Matsui Single Malt Mizunara Cask is a Japanese single malt whisky matured in Mizunara oak, a wood known for the distinctive character it gives to the spirit. The profile mixes spice with fruit: vanilla, oak and cinnamon sit alongside pear, citrus and tropical fruits such as mango and papaya. A gentle sweetness and malt run underneath, and a salty, savoury depth is sometimes noted as well.
