Mellow Corn 4 Year Old (50%)

Mellow Corn is a four-year-old American corn whiskey from Heaven Hill in Kentucky, bottled at 50% ABV. The mash is 80% corn, so it is a corn whiskey rather than a bourbon. It is matured in new uncharred oak casks, and the label carries the Bottled-in-Bond mention, meaning the whiskey comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season and has been aged for at least four years. The nose combines varnished wood, vanilla and white flowers. On the palate vanilla leads, with fruit and caramelised apples. The finish is salted butter caramel and vanilla.
