Mellow Corn Kentucky Straight Corn Whiskey (70cl, 50%)

Mellow Corn is a Kentucky straight corn whiskey made by Heaven Hill Distilleries. It is bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It follows the Bottled-in-Bond rules: the spirit comes from a single season, is aged for at least four years and is bottled under government supervision at 100 proof. Corn dominates the mash bill, with malted barley alongside, and maturation in virgin oak gives structure without covering the character of the grain. The nose is soft and gentle with a sweet corn note. On the palate there is balanced sweetness, vanilla, light fruit and creamy caramel. The finish is spicy-sweet and well balanced.
