A Merlot from Alto Adige, made by Tenuta J Hofstatter. It shows a clear ruby colour, with cherry, plum, light floral notes and subtle spice on the nose. The palate is soft, with well-harmonised tannins and fresh acidity typical of Alto Adige, leaving a smooth, fruity finish. It is intended as an everyday wine with elegance rather than opulence.
Serve at around 16-18 C. It pairs with light white and red meats, delicate cured meats, medium-aged cheeses and mushroom dishes.
