A Merlot from Fontana Candida, expressing the variety through the Lazio terroir. It is an intense ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is rich, with ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, plus delicate spice and a light vegetal note. On the palate it is soft and harmonious, with velvety, well-integrated tannins and a medium-full body. Balanced acidity and fruit lead to a long, persistent finish. It pairs well with red meat, roasts, game, aged cheeses and savoury first courses.
