Mesa Forterosso Passito Carignano del Sulcis (15%)

Mesa Forterosso is a sweet passito red wine from Carignano del Sulcis. It has an intense ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose offers ripe and candied red fruit, dried figs and plum, with honey and light Mediterranean spices. The palate is warm and rounded, with body and density, soft integrated tannins and good freshness; sweetness is balanced by acidity and sapidity. It pairs with aged or blue cheeses, dried-fruit and honey desserts, or as a meditation wine. Serve slightly chilled.
