Hexanobile is a French blended malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 46% with a declared age of 8 years. It brings together single malts from three French distilleries, using spirit from the 2013 and 2017 vintages. That marks a change for a house that traditionally matured Scottish distillate in Burgundy.
The components mature in Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Oloroso sherry casks, kept in the rock cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune. The bottling continues the story of the earlier Unexpected release.
