Overaged is a malt whisky from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting of Scottish whiskies matured in sherry oak casks in the rock cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune in Burgundy. Because the maturation takes place outside Scotland, it cannot be called Scotch whisky. The youngest component is reportedly at least 12 years old, with older whiskies of up to 27 years in the mix. The nose is described as fine smoke, salty bacon, iodine and green apple.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
