The Unexpected N°3 is a ten-year-old French single malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 50% in a 150cl magnum. Only 45 bottles were filled in this size.
Unlike many Couvreur bottlings, it is made from French distillate, using Vanessa barley and Charentais pot stills. It was distilled on 1 December 2012 and bottled on 23 February 2023.
The whisky matured in the cellars of Burgundy in Oloroso, Amontillado and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
