The Unique is a four-year-old whisky from Michel Couvreur, bottled at 44% in a 1.5 litre magnum. The distillate comes from Scotland and matures in oak casks at Bouze-lès-Beaune in Burgundy.
It is a lighter style within the house range, with bright fruit, grain and gentle wood rather than dominant sherry character.
On the nose it is described as pear and ripe grape, with creamy vanilla, a touch of almond, floral notes and a background of grain. A faint maritime note may appear.
